Self-Healing Through Ho’oponopono

The ancient Hawaiian practice of forgiveness through Ho’oponopono is an effective tool for self-healing in all areas of life. Through a few simple words, Ho’oponopono has the potential to create miracles in your life.

Some practitioners teach a lengthy process to perform this ancient problem-solving technique in order to release recorded memories that show up in current affairs, dreams, attitudes, belief systems, points of view and so on.

Even with no training, the mere practice of thinking or saying these words with feeling, I love you, I’m sorry, please forgive me, and I thank you embodies the energies of compassion, unconditional love, forgiveness and gratitude all at once, and can have the effect of transcending negativity and immediately shifting to a higher state of awareness.

When we accept responsibility for creating 100% of our reality, we also hold the potential to change that reality. In other words, every problem in our lives offers the solution within it and it is up to us to implement that solution for a higher outcome.

When we turn over our negative thoughts and emotions to our inner divine intelligence to handle, we can release all negative energies attached to the problem – guilt, shame, resentment and so on. We are assuming responsibility for how we create our entire world reality that we live in.

This practice teaches us to love everything about ourselves, creates appreciation for what we have and releases the pressure of hiding the parts of us we do not like. The immediate release of low vibrational thoughts and feelings through Ho’oponopono creates a stress-free life.

Everything we see, hear, taste, touch or in any way experience is our responsibility because it is in our life. When a place for healing presents itself (a situation, thought or emotion that feels heavy, such as an argument, the feeling of guilt or the thought of lack), open to that place within where the hurt resides and follow the 4 steps below. Try it in all negative situations that arise.

With as much feeling as possible, think or say the following words.
* I love you.
* I’m sorry.
* Please forgive me.
* I thank you.

In short, when you want to improve your life, go within.

“If we can accept that we are the sum total of all past thoughts, emotions, words, deeds and actions and that our present lives and choices are colored or shaded by this memory bank of the past, then we begin to see how a process of correcting or setting aright can change our lives, our families and our society.” by Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona, Hawaii’s living treasure
